The makeover of the portal comes with a new tagline,'Sifyfy everything'.
Sify Technologies Limited has unveiled the new look of its portal, Sify.com, which now sports an image-based presentation of content. The makeover is a part of Sify.com's renewed focus on simplifying information, communication and entertainment for its visitors, while enriching the surfing experience with enhanced visual dynamism and interactivity.
To launch this new look, Sify has initiated a pan-India campaign with a host of above the line, print and online marketing activities. Three television commercials will be aired in genre-specific national channels starting this week. The marketing campaign features the newly-coined tagline, 'Sifyfy everything', to amplify the message that information, communication and entertainment will be provided on Sify.com in the most user-friendly manner.
The spread of content on the homepage has been increased. The new homepage is designed to make the discovery of content, and navigation within the content, easier. Platforms for interaction with social media plug-ins have also been introduced.
Commenting on the launch, Natesh Mani, president, commercial and consumer business, Sify Technologies, says, "The challenge and need of the hour is to be able to push out relevant information of potential interest to the user effectively. The new design and layout of Sify.com is an effort in this direction. We are committed to our audience to offer the best of content, adopting state-of-the-art technology, in a simple yet relevant way, which we call a 'Sifyfying' experience."
Sify began the revamp process with extensive one-on-one customer feedback on the user interface of Sify.com, and market research programmes to understand user expectations, market perspective and changing browsing behaviour patterns. Thereafter, new homepage layouts were shared with a wide audience mix across key cities in India to study market acceptance and suggestions.
As a part of the makeover, Sify has also launched the 'Sify News' app for Windows 8. It is one of the 15 applications from across the globe to be featured in the news and weather category in the Windows Store for Windows 8 Consumer Preview (the pre-release version of Windows 8). Web radio has been introduced on the new homepage of Sify.com.
