Siddharth Kelkar quits Zapak

Kelkar was the head of advergames and digital solutions at the Reliance ADA Group's gaming firm.

After a five year stint, Siddharth Kelkar has resigned as the head of advergames and digital solutions at Zapak Digital Entertainment, the gaming company of the Reliance ADA Group.

Sources close to the development confirm the news, although Kelkar was unavailable for comment. Those close to the development say that Kelkar's next assignment will also be in the digital space. Apparently, Kelkar is currently serving his notice period, which will end in the first week of March, 2012/02/02.

At Zapak, Kelkar headed the advergaming vertical, which was responsible for games that are developed for a particular brand campaign or product. He was also responsible for providing 360-degree comprehensive digital (web and mobile) solutions to clients/advertisers for brand campaigns.

Kelkar, who has over 11 years of experience in the media industry, had joined Zapak in February 2007 as senior manager, ad sales. Prior to heading advergames and digital solutions, he was head of West and East region sales for online media, social media, activation and advergaming at Zapak.

Kelkar, who holds a Master's degree in business administration, started his career in the ad sales field with Bennett, Coleman and Co. in 2001. He has also worked with Hindustan Times and the Network18 Group.
