OMD India's digital services segment is in expansion mode. Its most recent win is the digital media mandate for the popular restaurant chain McDonald's.

The agency will handle McDonald's media strategy, media buying, and planning across all digital and interactive channels.

Addressing the appointment of OMD, Rajdeep Chatterjee, head, marketing, McDonald's India (North and East) says, in an official communiqué, "OMD India's digital prowess impressed us. Its domain knowledge, innovative thinking, and usage of tools and resources deployed made it easy for us to take a decision in its favour. Though these are our first steps in the digital space, in India, to have a partner like OMD inspires confidence that these steps would be sure-footed."

Chatterjee adds that with this relationship with the agency, his team feels confident about taking giants strides in the digital space and looks forward to initiatives that will help the brand connect with its stakeholders.

"McDonald's is a treasured brand and respected OMD client across the globe, and it is with great pleasure that I welcome this partnership in India," conveys Jasmin Sohrabji, chief executive officer, OMD India.
