In a bid to strengthen its senior leadership team, Mindshare, the GroupM promoted media agency, has appointed Ashok Lalla as leader, digital, Mindshare South Asia. To be based in Mumbai, Lalla will report to Ravi Rao, leader, Mindshare SouthAsia.
Until recently, Lalla was with Euro RSCG, as president, digital, and worked with several clients such as Unilever and IBM. In a press statement, R Gowthaman, leader, Mindshare, South Asia, says, "Lalla joins Mindshare at a time when our digital business is well-poised to grow further, not only on the basic services, but also across search, social, mobile, creative, and performance marketing. I am sure he will take Mindshare to greater heights in the digital marketing space."
About his own appointment, Lalla says, "I am looking forward to work with the great digital team in Mindshare, which has a track record of doing breakthrough digital work. I look forward to take the digital segment of Mindshare to the next level for our clients and grow the team into a stronger one that will develop spectacular digital work."
Having more than 18 years of experience in marketing and branding, he started his career with Enterprise Nexus Communications (now Bates 141). Subsequently, he has worked with other companies such as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and Times Multimedia before moving on to Euro RSCG. Apart from this, Ashok is a presenter and a visionary keynote speaker on digital marketing, social media, and brands at various events and B-schools. He is also the author of 'The Future of Digital for Brands'.
