The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), which launched its India Local Council in May 2009, has elected Vishal Gondal, chief executive officer and founder of Indiagames, and Suresh Narasimha, chief executive officer and founder, TeliBrahma, as co-chairs.
Both will report to Rohit Dadwal, managing director, MMA APAC.
Earlier, Rajiv Hiranandani, co-founder and executive director, Mobile2Win - Altruist, and Kunal Bajaj, managing director, BDA Connect, co-chaired the MMA Local Council.
Hiranandani will continue as one of the board members in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) board of directors of MMA.
As per the information available on MMAGlobal.com, MMA is a global non-profit trade association established to lead the growth of mobile marketing and its associated technologies. Its primary focus is to establish mobile as an indispensible part of the marketing mix and it works to promote, educate, measure, guide and protect the mobile marketing industry worldwide.
It has more than 700 member companies, from over 40 countries around the globe. MMA's global headquarters are in the United States. It has regional branches in North America, Europe, Latin America, West Asia, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
The co-chairs of India Local Council are part of the MMA Regional Leadership Committee, the collaborating body across the APAC region. The co-chairs will work closely with the regional board of directors to determine strategy and priorities for the organisation.
