The agency has started offering mobile marketing solutions to brands such as Asian Paints and HDFC Bank.
Indigo Consulting, the Mumbai-based digital agency, has launched a dedicated mobile marketing arm called ThmbStrk, which will function as an independent unit.
Satwick Saxena has been roped in as business head, ThmbStrk, to lead the organisation. Earlier, Saxena was head of inventory and product management at Dentsu India's Last Minute Media, which runs the online media inventory trading portal called Lastminuteinventory.com.
Speaking to afaqs!, Saxena says, "Apart from offering regular mobile marketing services such as SMS marketing, mobile media planning and ad insertion, ThmbStrk will also provide services such as creation of mobile websites, development of applications and customised solutions related to mobile-based Augmented Reality (AR) and Quick Response Code advertising."
He adds, "ThmbStrk will be capable of delivering mobile marketing solutions across mobile platforms such as Android and Symbian, and on the entire gamut of devices such as tablet computers, portable gaming devices, smartphones and low-cost phones."
"We have created and activated the mobile site of Asian Paints recently, and are in the process of developing applications -- for usage on Apple iPad -- for some brands," Saxena adds. The agency is also handling the mobile marketing duties of HDFC Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.
