Marketing services firm Manhattan Communications, which runs an online ad network named Ethniconlinenetwork.com (EON) -- focused on serving ads to South Asia based consumers on the Internet -- plans to expand its digital business. The company may soon start offering social media marketing solutions as well.
"We are finalising our social media services and will announce our offering related to social media marketing very soon," Shantonu Aditya, director and chief executive officer, Manhattan Communications, reveals to afaqs!. However, he declined to provide further details.
To handle its ad network and social media business, the company has appointed Saibal Dutta as business head, digital business. Aditya says, "Dutta will head EON, social media business and other upcoming digital media services."
EON was earlier headed by Amit Koshal, who was with the agency as president. Koshal has quit the position and is now working with the company as advisor.
Dutta has more than 12 years of experience and has worked with companies such as ICICI Bank and CyberMedia. Prior to joining Manhattan Communications, Dutta was the business head, West and South for iAvatarZ Digital, an online ad network firm that helps global websites to monetise their traffic from India.
Manhattan Communications is a marketing services firm, which offers marketing solutions related to print, television, radio, outdoor and Internet media. It also provides public relations and event management related services. Times Private Treaties, the private equity arm of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL), owns a stake in Manhattan Communications.
