The agency has bagged the account after a multi agency pitch process, claims Raj Narain, managing director, Optima Advertising.
Narain elucidates, "Optima Advertising will handle both online creative and media duties of Amaron Batteries. To begin with, we will use search engine optimisation to drive traffic to its website, Amaron.in. In October, the revamped version of Amaron.in will be unveiled." There are plans to promote the website through online advertising. The campaign will be targeted towards young car and bike owners.
Social media will also be used to engage users with the brand. "We will launch a Facebook application and create a Twitter account to converse with the target audience," says Narain.
Viral films will also be developed to promote the battery brand.
Initially, online media will be used for brand building and engagement purposes. Later, the medium may be utilised for sales lead generation as well. "Our focal point will be to tap potential customers, create various indirect touch points, link them to the brand and influence their buying decision, thereby increasing trials for the brand and promoting value added services," Narain adds.
