Well, this seems to be the end of the good times for the Reliance Jio subscribers who until date were enjoying free outgoing calls to all networks. Earlier this week, the Mumbai-headquartered telcom announced that it will start charging 6 paise per minute for voice calls made from its network to other operators.
In a tweet, the brand clarified, “If you have recharged on or before 9 October, you can continue enjoying free call benefits (even on non-Jio numbers), until your plan expires.”

Other brands in the category are sure having a 'pun' time taking a dig at Jio for breaking its 'forever free outgoing call' promise. The Mukesh Ambani-led telecom company had promised free unlimited voice calls on the Jio network at the time of its launch in 2016.
