Obituary: JWT's Anvar Alikhan passes away

Alikhan was senior vice president and strategic consultant at JWT Mindset. He is survived by his wife Indrani Das Alikhan.

Anvar Alikhan, senior vice president and strategic consultant at JWT Mindset, passed away on December 26. He was 66. He had been suffering from a lung ailment. He is survived by his wife Indrani Das Alikhan.

Alikhan, an advertising veteran, worked with JWT Mindset for more than 19 years. Before JWT acquired Mindset Advertising in the year 2011, he was creative director at the agency and subsequently went on to become senior vice president and strategic consultant at JWT Mindset.

Prior to Mindset Advertising, Alikhan worked with Rediff.com as creative director and before that, with Ogilvy & Mather as creative director for nine years. In the past, he worked with Contract Advertising for two years as creative director. Alikhan began his advertising career with JWT as creative director; his first stint at the agency lasted for nine years.
