Chattopadhyay has been appointed as vice president, Mettelu as research director and Kumar as consultant.
In a recent announcement, research company MRSS India has appointed Madhumita Chattopadhyay as vice president, Praveen Mettelu as research director and R Kumar as a consultant.
Chattopadhyay has about 25 years of experience in brand management, business strategy and marketing research. She was associated with ABP for 14 years as VP, in charge of one of the strategic business units and was also the editor of a women’s lifestyle magazine - Sananda - in West Bengal. Chattopadhyay also worked in market research agencies like IMRB International and TNS Mode and was a member of the Technical Committee of National Readership Survey (NRS).
Kumar, an MBA and BE, has over two decades of experience in market research, KPO operations and research experience (mostly in customized, quantitative studies). He has also worked with GFK Mode, Aon Hewitt Associates, TNS, and A C Nielsen ORG – MARG. Products that he had worked on were largely consumer products/ services, durables, tourism, media/ polling, and healthcare (mostly OTC). He had also presented papers at MRSI, ICPOOP (Cairo).
Mettelu has about nine years of experience in qualitative research. He has worked with Hansa, Quantum research, The Third Eye, and Nielsen. He has a keen sense of client requirements, business assessments and generating consumer insights, partner clients’ short and long-term strategies, and has also worked comprehensively in automotive, social and FMCG sectors. This is apart from his exposure in the media, digital, technology, health and pharma, telecom, appliances, retail, and finance spaces.
