India wins 10 Pencils at D&AD Impact Awards 2017

McCann Worldgroup India bagged a Black and Graphite Pencil each.

The winners of the second edition of D&AD Impact Awards 2017 recently held in New York City have been announced. A total of 98 Pencils, including three Black Pencils, 13 White Pencils, 26 Graphite Pencils, and 56 Wood Pencils were awarded to work demonstrating great, transformative and creative ideas that have had real impact.

Among these, Indian ad agencies won honours in three categories - Black, Graphite, and Wood Pencils.

A Black Pencil was won by McCann Worldgroup India for The Immunity Charm campaign under the Health & Wellness category. The agency also won a Wood Pencil for The Dancing Letter campaign.

Serviceplan India went on to win two Pencils (Graphite and Wood) for The Truth Unveiled campaign under the Health & Wellness and Diversity & Equality categories.

Company of Design won two Pencils (Graphite and Wood) for the Safe Houses campaign under two different categories - Community and Civic Engagement.

The Ammada Trust won a Wood Pencil for the #GiveHer5 campaign under the Education category.

O&M Mumbai won two Wood Pencils for the Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks campaign under the Education and Humanitarian Aid categories.

Leo Burnett India bagged a Wood Pencil for Hindustan Petroleum's Roads That Honk campaign under the Urban Living category.

Special Mention:

JWT Amsterdam went on to win two Pencils (Black and Wood) under the Education and Humanitarian Aid categories for Free a Girl Movement's School for Justice campaign, which is part of the Free a Girl India, an institution that aims to fight against human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children.
