As rains lashed the city of Mumbai on Tuesday, brands across product groups reached out to consumers, online and offline. Some brands offered help in the form of their own intrinsic services, for example Ola spread the word about a shuttle service while Domino's Pizza spoke about delivering food despite the storm. Other brands spread messages about safety and offered to provide shelter, Maggi (earned media for Nestlé) and wi-fi to Mumbaikars stranded nearby. Social media channels like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram were used to circulate images and posters, while instant messaging platforms like WhatsApp and SMS were used to spread text messages. We curated a few images yesterday.

Here's the story so far, in screenshots.
