Narayanswamy has replaced Uttio Majumdar who is moving to a career in marketing.
In a recent announcement, Sita Narayanswamy has joined Rediffusion Y&R as head of operations, Mumbai. She has replaced Uttio Majumdar who is moving to a career in marketing.
Narayanswamy is an alumnus of The Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, followed by a Fellowship in Leadership and Globalisation from the London School of Economics. She has over two decades of experience in marketing, advertising as well as setting up new global enterprises. She started her career at J Walter Thompson where she went on to become vice president and area director Asia Pacific region. Narayanswamy handled large and complex multi-national accounts such as Unilever and working not just in India but also in the Asia region - China, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and is the person behind many big campaigns for Pepsi, Nestle, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Pond's Dreamflower range, Close Up, Ceat Tyres, Philips Lighting and Godrej-GE Appliances.
Subsequently she joined Zee Entertainment Enterprises as senior vice president, head of network marketing leading the marketing and communication for all channels of the Zee network as well as for the corporate brand. She continued in her role with UTV Group as marketing head, Bindaas channels. She was also the chief marketing officer for Kidzania Imagination & Entertainment where she prepared the groundwork for the successful launch of the international concept into the Indian market.
In her free time she loves writing, painting, listening to music, cooking, running and she is involved in non-profit work for children.
