Until now, Kapoor operated from the agency's Mumbai office as executive creative director.
Puneet Kapoor, McCann's executive creative director in Mumbai, will now move to McCann Bangalore, in the same capacity. In his new role, he will be responsible for the agency's creative output.
Announcing Kapoor's movement, Prasoon Joshi chairman, Asia-Pacific (APAC) and chief executive officer (CEO) and chief creative officer (CCO), McCann Worldgroup India, says, "(Puneet) Kapoor is from a rare breed of creative directors who, though professionally trained as an art director, also has great flair for writing. He is truly an intricate craftsman. He also carries an immense sense of responsibility. I am sure with Dileep Ashoka leading our operations from the front this will be a formidable team that will further add value to our clients' busines- ses."

Expressing his views on the movement, Kapoor says, "In a career spanning nearly two decades, I've spent the maximum time at McCann, and do feel a strong connect with the culture. Especially the last few years at Mumbai McCann, where I have loved working on brands such as Parachute, Saffola, Complan, Glucon-D, Asian Paints, Piramal iRange, IDFC Bank, Park Avenue, and Fanta (South-East Asia region)."
He adds, "We have some solid brands portfolios at McCann Bangalore under ITC Aashirwaad, TVS, and Britannia as mother brands, and I look forward to do some exciting and efficacious work to add more thump to these brands."
Kapoor, who started his career with Saatchi & Saatchi Delhi in 1997, has over 19 years, worked with agencies like Leo Burnett, Enterprise Nexus, Ogilvy, McCann, Eleven Brandworks, and BBH before joining McCann.
During his tenure at McCann, he has handled accounts such as Marico, Skoda Motors, Vaseline, Movies Now, Johnnie Walker, VAT 69, RedBull, Acer, TVS, Google India, Western Union, NDTV Good Times, Perfetti Van Melle, General Motors, and Coca-Cola.
