Held over a period of three days, from September 29 to October 01, 2016, the 11th edition of 'Kyoorius Designyatra 2016: Why am I here' presented by Zee, ended with the presentation of Kyoorius Design Awards 2016 at Fairmont, Jaipur. At the same event, Kyoorius Young Blood Award winners were also announced.
A total of two Black Elephants and 22 Blue Elephants were given away. Kahani Designworks took home a Black Elephant for 'The State of Architecture: Practices & Processes in India' in the Design for Space category for its client Urban Design Research Institute, while the agency Ek Type bagged a Black Elephant for 'Baloo' in the Design Craft category for its client Open Source through Google Fonts.
In the Branding and Identity category, NH1 Design won a Blue Elephant for the entry 'Branding a FinTech Startup in India' within two sub-categories - Visual Identity Scheme for Startups, and Logos. BLOK won a Blue Elephant for Enchanted Valley Carnival in the same category (Branding and Identity), while Ogilvy & Mather's 'Rajasthan Tourism Logo' bagged two Blue Elephants - one in the Branding and Identity category within the sub-category Branding (Re-Branding)/Visual Identity Scheme, and another within the sub-category Logos.
In the Design for Packaging category, the agency Fitch won a Blue Elephant for 'Asian Paints Adhesives'; the other Blue Elephant winner in this category was Open Strategy & Design for its entry 'It's how you look at it'.
In the Design for Communication category, Publicis Communications' 'Nerolac Shade Card Calendar' fetched a Blue Elephant as did Open Strategy & Design's 'In the news today', Famous Innovations' 'A wedding card that sent girls back to school', and Ogilvy & Mather's 'The 100 Pipers Guitar Series'.
In the Design for Space Category, Kahani Designworks won a Blue Elephant for 'The State of Architecture: Practices & Processes in India'. Godrej Properties won a Blue Elephant for 'The Legacy Silos', Leaf Design for its entry 'Lokmat Media', and I-AM Associates for 'IDFC Bank'.
In the Design Craft category, Out of the Box's 'The Prodigies of Mother's Pride' won a Blue Elephant as did Ogilvy & Mather's 'Child abuse lasts a lifetime', and Ek Type's entry 'Baloo'.
In the Writing for Design category, Dynamite Design's 'TSM - Find Your True Calling' and Open Strategy & Design's entry 'In the news today' won a Blue Elephant each.
In the Design for Books category, Ishan Khosla Design's 'Eye Spy Indian Art' bagged a Blue Elephant and in the Design for Good category, Company of Good bagged a Blue Elephant for its entry 'Safe Houses'.
