The agency will handle the brand's integrated marketing, including social and digital advertising.
Wedding Wishlist, a wedding registry brand in India, has handed over its marketing and strategy mandate to WYP (What's Your Problem) Brand Solutions. The Chennai-based Wedding Wishlist enables prospective couples to create their wedding gifts wishlist and share it with their relatives and friends to facilitate the choice of their wedding gifts.
Wedding Wishlist was started by the same team behind CherryTin, a gifting destination for personlised gifts. Taking a cue from the insights garnered over time through CherryTin, Wedding Wishlist enables smarter gifting for couples and offers convenience, sharper choices, and technology to make gifting as easy as it gets.
Commenting on the account win, Hammad A Khan, director, online marketing and servicing, WYP Brand Solutions, says in a press release, "Wedding Wishlist is an extremely effective solution to wedding gift woes. We are excited to partner with it to take the idea across India. We are equally glad that with the help of all our background work, we have modified the product according to Indian preferences."
Khan further adds, "We are now confident to go mass with an equally exciting video campaign that would also manifest online. Wedding Wishlist should be an organic addition to the universe of wedding management, which is growing at a 25-30 per cent year-on-year rate."
Sharing his views on winning the account, Amit Akali, managing director and creative head, WYP Brand Solutions, says in a press release, "With our strategy and creatives, we are striving to ensure that the concept is well-received and wedding registry starts featuring as a must do for any Indian wedding. From extremely sharp contextual ads that will take on the language of blogs they feature on to an integrated video campaign that would manifest in various forms across online media, the campaign would be brought alive on the most suited media and platforms."
Commenting about the development, Kanika Subbiah, managing director, Wedding Wishlist and CherryTin, says in a press release, "We are confident of charting this road with WYP. For a concept like this, we were looking for a partner who would dig its teeth deep in and offer solutions. Considering its approach of research and insight-based solutions gave us the confidence to hand over the mandate to WYP."
