The pre-school chain's 'Prodigies of Mother's Pride' celebrates the uniqueness of every child by felicitating his/her unique talent.
The pre-school chain Mother's Pride has come up with an innovative drive called The Prodigies of Mother's Pride that appreciates and acknowledges children for what they are -- sweethearts, brave hearts, curious experimenters, chatterboxes and more! The concept, which was conceptualised by Out of the Box, celebrates the genius in every child with 30 colourful certificates every month.
Every certificate highlights an important attribute in children. However, unlike the regular certificates, which look dull and grave, these were designed keeping in mind the spirit of childhood. With rich, colourful illustrations and interesting headers, the certificates are funny, interesting, and quintessentially child-like. The certificates also have messages for parents and teachers that convey the importance of the respective attribute/quality, and what parents can do on their part to nurture it.
Commenting on the idea and execution, Viral Pandya, chief creative officer, Out of the Box, says, "In order to achieve the objective, we sat with the core team of Mother's Pride which included early education experts, curriculum experts, child psychologists, and teachers, and zeroed in on 30 inherent qualities and talents in children which are essential for their overall development. We took these 30 important qualities, and turned them into a set of 30 certificates known as The Prodigies of Mother's Pride, which celebrates the genius in every child."
Sudha Gupta, chairperson, Mother's Pride, says, "To continue with the tradition and philosophy the preschool stands for, Mother's Pride wanted to come up with something that makes every child feel special and loved. No two children are alike, and every child is born unique and talented. It is very important for parents and teachers to identify and nurture the talents of children, and to continuously applaud them for their innate qualities."
Gupta further adds, "The objective was also to convey the importance of not comparing children with each other, but appreciate and make every child blossom into a confident and happy individual."
At the end of every month, all class teachers across the school's various branches are handed over a set of these 30 certificates. Every set carries instructions to the teacher stating the importance of these certificates and how they are to be distributed.
The idea is to ensure that at the end of every month, more than 30,000 children receive these certificates in all the 85 branches of Mother's Pride.
"The certificates not only let children feel good about themselves, but also make parents feel proud of their wards. They are also a great keepsake for parents to treasure, and show the little ones their achievements, when they grow up," says Pandya.
Founded in 1996, Mother's Pride today has more than 85 branches with 30,000 children in the age group of two-five years.
