Ad veteran Indroneel Dhar, who was managing partner at Lighthouse Creative, passed away in Delhi. Dhar, 50, had been unwell for a while.

A prayer meeting is being organised in his remembrance on February 21, at 11 am, at Nirvana Patio, Block A, Nirvana Country, Sector 50, Gurgaon.

In his over two-decade long career, Dhar worked in leading advertising agencies such as Lowe, JWT and Everest. At Lowe, where he had his longest tenure lasting 10 years, Dhar worked on brands such as Maruti and Parker Pens. His stints at JWT and Everest were of one and three years, respectively.

He joined Dentsu India in 2003 to put the creative team together at the Delhi office. In a year-and-a-half, he quit the agency and joined Bates PanGulf, Dubai, where he spent four years.

In 2010, Dhar set up an independent creative boutique called Lighthouse Creative, with the aim to provide marketing and communications solutions.

Dhar also founded Sunny Side Up, an agency which was set up in 2002. It was a Delhi-based outfit and had seven members with clients such as Ericsson, Old World Hospitality, and Habitat World. The office also had a representation in London, with a small team working on accounts such as the Chor Bazaar restaurant and the tea cafe Chai Pani.
