Ogilvy India, which had stopped participating in Indian creative award shows, launched the Envies, its first internal awards, in 2013, to motivate its creative teams to do good work.
Ogilvy, Lowe award their own work. Can a self-award ever be as satisfying as an Abby? #Tellafaqs!

Speaking on the occasion, Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and creative director, Ogilvy South Asia, said, "I am really grateful to the creative directors of the industry who took time off to pick the best of Ogilvy for the Envies 2015."
The Envies, each year, are awarded not by an internal jury, but by a mix of people from other agencies. This year's jury included Karl Gomes, founder and chief fanatic, Fanatics, Ashish Chakravarty, NCD, Contract India, Bobby Pawar, managing director and CCO, Publicis Groupe, Vikram Gaikwad, founder, Underdog Communications, Pradyumna Chauhan, NCD, McCann Erickson, Senthil Kumar, NCD, J W Thompson and Raj Kamble, founder and chief creative officer, Famous Innovations.
While the first edition of the awards had 35 winners, this year, as well as last year had only 27 each, which included two special awards. The Envies are awarded across all categories and disciplines. Some of the winners (in no particular order) this year were Tata Sky's Daily Dillagi, Postpickle.com's For a Sister, Incredible India J&K's Where time stands still, JSW Cements' Banao Pyaar Se and BMW's BMW Festive. JSW Steel's Geeta Phogat was the Most Envied and Postpickle.com's For a Sister won the Envy for Good, a category introduced last year to recognise a campaign done for social good.
"Great work should always be celebrated. The Envies are a celebration of the width of Ogilvy's work in India, our culture, our people and our clients. They foster a sense of pride in where we work, what we create and the clients and brands for whom we create. Every company finds ways to celebrate its champions and its best work. This is ours," said Kunal Jeswani, CEO, Ogilvy India.
Raiiv Rao, national creative director, Ogilvy India, added, "This is the third year of the Envies and we are extremely proud of every single entry that has made it to the 25 best of Ogilvy India 2015. We are equally thrilled about the Most Envied and Envy for Good. These two pieces of work are very special and truly deserve the honour they have been given."
In addition to the presence of creative heavyweights from across India, the Envies 2015 evening was also marked by artist and designer Hanif Kureshi, Dilip Chabria of Team Indus - India's official entrant for the Google X Lunar Prize, a performance from Agni, and a surprise appearance from Geeta Phogat, India's first woman wrestler and Commonwealth gold winner.
