India has won a total of eight awards in the recently concluded Clio Awards 2015, held in New York. McCann Worldgroup India, DDB Mudra Group and Maimi Ad School are among the winners this year.
The highest number of metals was secured by McCann Worldgroup India with a total of three silvers and three bronze. The agency's 'Musical Instrument' ad for brand Dabur was awarded silver in the out-of-home and print technique categories. The same work also won two bronze, one in design and print each.
The agency's work titled 'Warnings' for Essel Group also won a silver in the out-of-home category and a bronze in print category.
DDB Mudra Group scored a single win, for its 'The Misunderstood Billboard' campaign, executed for Zee News. The work won a bronze in the out-of-home category.
The country's tally on the board was supplemented by a win by Maimi Ad School, Mumbai. The school won a silver in the student innovation category for its campaign titled 'Watch for Nepal'. This campaign was aimed at getting donations for victims of the Nepal earthquake through a YouTube channel. The idea was that when the button 'Skip Ad' appeared, along with it appeared a button 'Watch to Donate', which enabled a user to contribute $0.01.
