Mahajan had earlier worked with Rediffusion in 2008-10 and again in 2012-13. In his current role, he will also oversee Everest Delhi.
Jaideep Mahajan has returned to Rediffusion Y&R as national creative director. Mahajan, who is fondly known as JD, will work closely with the agency's CCO, Rahul Jauhari, and be based out of the Delhi office. He will also look after the creative product of Everest Delhi.
Mahajan brings to the table 17 years of experience and has won multiple national and international awards. He has worked with agencies such as JWT, Contract, Linen Lintas, McCann Erickson, Kuala Lumpur, Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide, Kuala Lumpur, and Rediffusion Y&R.
This is his third stint with the agency. Mahajan worked at Rediffusion in 2008-2010 and 2012-2013 as creative head and national head (art) and executive creative director, respectively.
Speaking on his appointment, he says, "Given the change that is underway in the group, this seemed like a perfect time to return home. Rediffusion has been special to me. I have known Rahul for a long time. Our thoughts on creative work, creative culture and business focus matched perfectly."
Mahajan has created some memorable campaigns for Airtel and LG. He launched Airtel in Sri Lanka with outstanding results - 75,000 bookings made on the day of launch. Recently, his campaign for Dabur Vatika - 'Brave & Beautiful', won numerous awards and accolades.

JD is a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Applied Art from College of Art, Delhi, and did his Surface Designing Program from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi.
