The art department is divided into three groups, led by three senior people - Kapil Tammal, ECD, Anjali Rawat, ECD and Pravin Sutar, senior creative director.
Scarecrow Communications has brought on board, Pravin Sutar as senior creative director, art. He will be based out of the company's Mumbai office. Meanwhile, Kapil Tammal will continue as design director for Scarecrow Designs. Also, after Sutar's appointment, the art department at Scarecrow will now comprise three groups led by three senior persons - Kapil Tammal and Anjali Rawat as executive creative directors (ECD) and Sutar as senior creative director, art.
With over 14 years of advertising experience, Sutar began his career as a junior visualiser with FCB Ulka after which he moved on to work at various agencies like Everest, Publicis Ambience, McCann and Contract. Furthermore, after spending 11 years in India, he moved overseas to Kuala Lumpur, working at Leo Burnett and Geometry Global (a WPP company).
Sutar has handled brands such as Proton, Maxis, McDonald's, Petronas, Samsung, Coca Cola, Cadbury and Hyundai. Manish Bhatt, founder director, Scarecrow Communications says, "His experience in a digitally advanced nation like Malaysia and his stint at Geometry Global, with an experience in Digital, Activations and Shopper Marketing, will add to Scarecrow's expertise in creating communication for e-commerce brands."
Commenting on his new move, Sutar adds, "To begin with, I'm happy to be back home. I'm really excited and ready to apply all my experiences and learning of three years of the challenging, yet interesting Southeast Asia market, for the brands here in Mumbai."
Scarecrow Communications, present in Mumbai and Delhi, currently handles accounts such as ITC, Emami, &Pictures (Zee), Hungama, Local Banya, Viacom, Reliance Mutual Fund and Only Vimal.
