Tansen is a pan masala brand that is looking to foray outside the Madhya Pradesh market, where it is currently available.
DS Group, a multi-diversified conglomerate, has appointed Havas Worldwide as its integrated communications partner for its pan masala brand Tansen. The brand is a saffron-blended pan masala which has recently launched a sub-brand Tansen Blues, to cater to a semi-premium segment of the market. Presently the brand is available in Madhya Pradesh and will be made available in other states shortly.
Confirming the development, associate vice president (marketing) in charge of the Tobacco, Mouth freshener and Confectionery division of the DS Group, Rajeev Jain, says, "We liked the quality of their creative thinking. It is evident from the nature of their ideas that Havas Worldwide is a new-age agency. Tansen is a crucial brand for us, and we are happy to have found just the right partner for it."
