Singh will join as chief creative officer.
Satbir Singh, who recently put in his papers at Havas Worldwide, will be soon joining FCB Ulka as Chief Creative Officer (CCO). Singh will be moving to Mumbai for this new role and will join mid-February.
"The first challenge for me would be to get to know everyone, it is such a large agency," he jokes, confirming the move. Singh, however, feels that the way agencies work with the work pressure and frenzy would be similar anywhere. "In that sense it would be business as usual." Singh's responsibilities as the CCO include improving the creative process as well as mentoring the team.
Singh has worked with Havas Worldwide for nine years. He joined Euro RSCG (later rebranded as Havas) as ECD in 2005 and was promoted to CCO in 2007. In his two-decade long career, he has worked on nearly every product category in agencies like Trikaya Grey (now Grey), Leo Burnett, Contract, Equus, Ulka, and Ogilvy.
Over the years, Singh has worked on brands like Daewoo Automobiles, Volvo, LML, Panasonic, Voltas, LG and Reckitt Benckiser and has led and authored award-winning campaigns like Incredible India! for India Tourism and Bajate Raho for Red FM.
Nagesh Alai, chairman, FCB Ulka Group says, "Satbir Singh will be a right fit and a great addition to FCB Ulka's existing strong leadership team as the organization embarks on a renewed drive to memorable and path-breaking creatives that will continue to build brands for its clients in the dynamic digital age".
