Dutta moves in from Grey Sri Lanka.
Leo Burnett India has appointed Rachita Dutta as business head at its Delhi office. Dutta joins Leo Burnett from Grey Sri Lanka, where she was country head since 2013.
In her new role, Dutta will work closely with Samir Gangahar, executive director, Leo Burnett, to help grow the agency's revenue by focusing on organic growth and winning new businesses. Says Gangahar, "I am delighted to have Rachita on board. Her depth of knowledge and experience across categories and geographies would really add to the agency's capabilities. Moreover, having had the experience of heading an agency, Rachita will add immense value to the leadership team in Delhi."

Prior to joining Grey Sri Lanka, Dutta led Rediffusion Y&R's LG business out of its Delhi office and also held a two-year stint as vice president of Lowe Delhi. She has also worked with Grey Delhi as an account executive. In the seven-year stint with the agency, she grew to the position of account group head and is also credited with the launch GSK Oral Care products and Revlon's Colorstay make-up range in India.
In 2003, she quit Grey to join Contract Advertising as account director. After a three years in Contract, she re-joined Grey as regional group account director in its Kuala Lumpur office where, for the next two years, she managed the regional brand communications for Sara Lee - Ambi Pur, Kiwi-Shoes and its other household brands, and GSK's Horlicks, Ribena, Sensodyne and Eye Mo.
