Scarecrow Ropes in Anjali Rawat as ECD, Art

Based in Mumbai, she will head one of the three art groups at the agency. Kapil Tammal and Zohar Furniturewala will lead the other two.

Scarecrow Communications has announced the appointment of Anjali Rawat as executive creative director (art). The Mumbai office of the agency will be divided into three Art Groups headed by ECDs Kapil Tammal, Zohar Furniturewala and Rawat.

Speaking on the appointment, Manish Bhatt, founder director, Scarecrow expresses, "Anjali is an articulate creative person with an edge in art, design and craft. Scarecrow is always on the hunt for ideas people with a tasteful sense of craft. Adding Anjali in the senior talent pool will help us strengthen Scarecrow's second line." Recently, Scarecrow bagged Radio City, Hungama, QuikSilver, Steve Madden, Kenneth Cole, among a few others.

Says Rawat, "A creative person's dream is to work with creative stalwarts of the industry. I am happy to have gotten this opportunity to work with Manish and Raghu. I see Scarecrow as a hub of good creativity and I hope to add a bit to it. And to learn a lot from them in the process."

In a career spanning 12 years, Rawat worked with Lemon for two years, Ogilvy for about four-and-a-half years and Metal Communications for three-and-a-half years. She has handled brands such as Zoom, Cadbury, Bru, Godrej, Morphy Richards, Rasna, Huggies, Malayala Manorama, Fortis Hospitals, Dainik Bhaskar, Axis Mutual Funds, Platinum, Star Gold, Movies Ok, Cox and Kings, TWU, Star CJ Alive, Eureka Mobile Advertising, Reliance and Parle.
