Based in Mumbai, he joins as the ad sales head, West, for Kasthuri TV and Kasthuri News 24.
Sudhir Raju Puthran has been appointed as ad sales head, West, for Kasthuri Media's GEC, Kasthuri TV and news channel, Kasthuri News 24.
He joins the Kannada media company from DDB Mudra where he was group head, media planning. He was also part of the agency's decision-making team for marketing and brand building functions. Puthran will continue to be based in Mumbai. In his new role, Puthran will report to Kasturi Media's sales and marketing head, Navaneeth CM.
Puthran brings with him over a decade of industry experience. He started his career in 2004 as an account manager at Radio City. After spending around four years there, he moved to Madison Media as manager and worked there till September 2009. A month later, he moved to Dentsu India as manager, media planning. After a stint of around a year-and-a-half with the agency, he joined TME, a Rediffusion-Y&R company in its media planning department.
For the record, Kasthuri TV was launched in 2007. The channel is owned by Kasturi Media, which is managed by Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of the ex-chief minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy.
