Housing.com has appointed BBH India as its creative agency of record (AoR).

This is the first time that Housing.com has brought on board a creative agency. It had conducted a multi-agency pitch before finalising on the Publicis Groupe agency.

BBH India will be in charge of developing the brand architecture and positioning for the brand. The agency will be mandated to roll out engagement modules across traditional media and new age platforms.

On assigning the creative duties to BBH, Rahul Yadav, CEO, Housing.com, says, "When the entire industry was 'Zigging', we decided to 'Zag' with a completely new approach. And who better than BBH for us as their entire philosophy revolves around this! Also, the team at BBH is just amazing and we connect with them very well."

On winning the account, Subhash Kamath, CEO and managing partner, BBH India, says, "We are extremely excited about partnering Housing.com. They have created a unique product and service; one that will change the way people hunt for homes in this country today. Our work too will be very differentiated as we build this brand."

Sanjay Sharma, head, planning, BBH India adds that the agency wants to ensure that the brand creates a step change in the category.

For the record, Housing.com is a real estate portal that promises to help buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants to find their ideal match. The site allows people to take virtual tours of each room in the property and also gives details on the neighbourhood and amenities available.

BBH India was founded in 2009. It has a wide client portfolio including Magnum Ice Cream, Viber and Vespa.
