Goafest 2014 has called for entries for the Abbys 2014. The entry forms are available on The Advertising Club's site and the last date for submission of entries is April, 11.
As per the press note from the organising body, the regular award entry fee is Rs 6,500 + 12.36 per cent Service Tax (ST). For Integrated campaigns, the entry fee is Rs 9,000 + ST 12.36 per cent. For entries from other countries in the SAARC region (Single and Integrated) it is USD20 + ST 12.36 per cent (USD 22.47).
The award shows for the Publisher and Media Abbys will be held on May 29. For Design, Direct, Promo-Activation, PR, Outdoor, Print Craft, Branded Content and Broadcaster Abbys, the awards ceremonies will be held on May 30; while the Interactive Digital, Radio, Print, TV and Integrated Abbys will be given away on May 31.
Goafest is in its ninth year and this is the seventh year that The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and The Advertising Club have come together to award Abbys, an award that recognises and honours creativity.
As announced earlier, this year will see some new categories such as Promo-Activation, PR, Broadcaster and Publisher Abbys.
The Grand Prix may be awarded for Film, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Design, Interactive Digital, Direct, Media and Integrated categories.
Goafest 2014 will be held on May 29-31 at The Grand Hyatt, Bambolim, North Goa.
The theme of the seventh edition of Goafest is 'Brand Baaja Baraat'. The logo has changed with 'Goafest' being labelled on a trumpet. The committee comprises Srinivasan K Swamy (chairman, Goafest 2014), Pratap Bose (president, The Advertising Club and chairman, The Awards Governing Council) and Arvind Sharma (founding chairman, Goafest and current president, Advertising Agencies Association of India). While Draftfcb Ulka had done the creatives for Goafest last year, this year, Dentsu Marcom has taken over the baton.
