The other two India-based professionals on the jury are Rohan Jha and Harpreet Singh Tibb. There are five NRIs in the jury list.
Four India-based advertising, media and marketing professionals have been chosen to be on the jury panel of The Asian Marketing Effectiveness and Strategy Awards (AMES), 2014.
They are Vikram Sakhuja (global CEO, Maxus Worldwide); Bindu Sethi (chief strategy officer, JWT India); Rohan Jha (senior general manager, media and promotions, Sony Music Entertainment India); and Harpreet Singh Tibb (director of marketing, India and South Asia, Kellogg).
Additionally, there are five Indians who are based abroad and form part of the jury panel of the highly-acclaimed awards. They are Ashutosh Srivastava (chairman, Asia and CEO, APAC, Russia and Emerging Markets, Mindshare); Nirvik Singh (chairman and CEO, Asia Pacific, Grey Group Asia Pacific); Vishnu Mohan (CEO, Asia Pacific, Havas Media Group); Ranganathan Somanathan (COO, Southeast Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group); and Rahul Welde (vice-president, media, Asia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey and Russia, Unilever).
Interestingly, Welde is jury president for the Media Strategy category.
AMES is a collaboration between Lions Festivals and Haymarket. The awards are widely respected in the region, with a broad range of strategic and creative criteria with focus on being results oriented. The awards honour clients and their agencies for marketing strategies that deliver solid results to transform businesses and brands.
The annual awards are judged by a panel of top client and agency professionals who review the submissions against stringent criteria to determine the winners of the prestigious Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy awards.
The deadline for sending in the entries is March 7, and the awards ceremony will take place on May 29. The event will take place at the St Regis, Singapore.
