TBWAIndia has roped in Rajshekar Patil as creative director for its Mumbai office. Patil was earlier with Contract Advertising as creative director, where he worked on brands like Cadbury and Asian Paints.

Parixit Bhattacharya, chief creative officer, TBWA India Group, says, "Raj's maturity as a creative director, digital smarts and an innate ability to spot opportunities for brands makes him a great resource to our young, ambitious and inventive creative department. I look forward to some disruptive work from him and the team."

Having more than a decade's experience, Patil has worked with BBH, Grey Worldwide, Ogilvy & Mather Bengaluru, and MAA Bozell Bengaluru. At BBH, he was part of the initial team when the agency began. Some of the brands he has worked on are Vaseline, Marico, Skoda Motors and Diageo.

The reason for joining TBWA, Patil says, is to work with people who have wide exposure. "TBWA has a pedigree that is truly global. So, the next step is to quickly get to the important part - great work and good fun," he says.

Patil has won bronze in One Show and his works have been shortlisted at Cannes Lions, Abbys and Communication Arts Design Annual. His digital campaign for Cadbury 'Songs for sisters' picked up a silver at the recently held Yahoo! Big Idea Chair.
