Effie awards, which is organised by The Ad Club, has announced the shortlist for its 2013 edition. This year, The Ad Club received 419 entries, 62 entries more than the number registered in 2012. Of these, 177 entries made the cut across different categories. Leading the shortlist is Ogilvy & Mather India followed by Lowe Lintas and McCann Worldgroup, respectively.
Effie 2013, which is in its 13th year, will be held on January 17 at Taj Lands End, Bandra; a noted deviation from previous years, where the venue was the Turf Club, Mumbai. Effie is the only award that recognises the agency and the client. Its aim is to reward the highest level of leadership in brand communication. Colors is the presenting sponsor and Zee Media is the associate sponsor, with Lenovo acting as the technology sponsor.
The entries, which were shortlisted by a jury in Mumbai and Delhi, span over 15 categories including Consumer Products (seven sub categories), Services (four sub categories), Corporate Advertising/Reputation, Retail, Healthcare, B2B, Digital (online/mobile communication), Rural Marketing, Regional, Direct Marketing, Experiential/Brand Marketing, EFFIE for Good, David vs Goliath, Integrated Advertising Campaign and Best Ongoing Campaign.
