Ghosh has been with the agency for more than a decade.
After bringing on board a new Bengaluru head, Contract Advertising has now announced its new Mumbai head. The agency has promoted Ayesha Ghosh, who has been with the agency for the last 12 years, to be in charge of the Mumbai branch as senior vice-president and general manager.
Rana Barua, chief operating officer, Contract Advertising, says, "Ayesha has been part of the leadership team at Contract and has worked closely with me over the last few months to recalibrate our offerings and help shape the future of the office. A motivating team leader with strong people skills, she has led the thought leadership for Contract, both internally and externally."
Commenting on her new role, Ghosh says, "It's wonderfully rewarding to have spent a sizeable amount of time at one agency and to now be heading that office. I am thrilled to have come into this position of strength at a time when Contract is on an upswing." She adds that one of her tasks will be to make the Mumbai branch of the agency an attractive place for clients and talent.
Ghosh has led the agency in winning some of its key businesses such as Provogue Deodorants, Sugar Free, RNA and Star Plus.
Having an experience of 17 years, Ghosh began her career with Psl Erickson (a division of McCann Erickson) in 1996. She then joined Grey Worldwide Delhi, moved to the agency's Mumbai office and left the agency as account manager. Ghosh then shifted to Contract Advertising. At the agency, she worked on brands such as Asian Paints, Cadbury, Tata Motors, Godrej, Disney Channel, CavinKare's Nyle and Chik, Tara Jewels, Pfizer's Listerine and Gelusil. She was also the coordinator in India for the globally aligned HSBC business.
