Anirban Chaudhuri, who was independent business strategist, will head strategic planning for the agency's Delhi office.
Draftfcb Ulka has appointed Anirban Chaudhuri to head its strategic planning division in Delhi. Chaudhuri was earlier working as independent business strategist and conversation enabler at the Space Group.
It may be recalled that three days ago, the agency announced that Menaka Menon, erstwhile director, marketing, MTV, would lead strategic planning for its Bengaluru operation.
Arvind Wable, advisor to the board, says, "Anirban brings a unique combination of brand consultancy, market research and a keen insight into digital and social media, which will be a valuable addition to our strategic planning efforts."
Agreeing with him, Sanjay Tandon, COO, Draftfcb Ulka Delhi operations, adds that having a close connect with the agency's value system and with his diverse experience, Chaudhuri will play a game changing role in creating brand wealth for its clients. In his career spanning 18 years in brand advisory and integrated marketing communications development roles, Chaudhuri has worked with agencies such as DDB Mudra, Dentsu Communications, TNS India and IMRB International, to name a few. He began his career with The Statesman newspaper in 1995. Some of the brands that Chaudhuri was associated with includes Toyota Ethios, Aircel, Yamaha Ray scooter and Wrigley's.
An alumnus of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, Chaudhuri was a gold medallist in MBA and has a post graduate diploma in journalism and mass communication. He also did a strategic management course at IIM Kolkata. Chaudhuri has also been a contributory speaker for Wharton Future of Advertising Round Table in India.
