Curious, Ramesh Deo Production and Chrome Pictures make it to the shortlist.
The Day 6 of 60th International Festival of Creativity, Cannes, has been a bleak opening for India. India has five entries, out of the 158, in the Film Craft category. However, the Indian entries failed to impress judges in Branded Content & Entertainment category and Titanium and Integrated category, which were announced simultaneously.
Leading the pack in the shortlist for Film Craft Lion is Ramesh Deo Productions, Mumbai, with three entries. All the entries are for the production house's work on Nike India's campaign 'Parallel Journeys' for its apparels. The campaign has been conceptualised by JWT, and has been chosen under Direction, Sound Design and Best of Music sub categories.
Curious, Mumbai, earned its shortlist from the 'Prison Break' campaign for Tata Sky+ HD digital box with recording facility. The campaign has been created by O&M India, Mumbai, and lies under Art & Direction sub category.
Chrome Pictures, Mumbai, has its campaign 'Gondappa' produced for Lifebouy in the shortlist. The campaign, conceptualised by Lowe Lintas +Partners, Mumbai, promotes hand wash and has been chosen from Cinematography sub category.
A Film Craft category received 2029 entries, this year. Of these, India sent 61 entries (20 more than last year). The category itself has seen an increase of 18 per cent since last year, where it received 1721 entries.
