US-headquartered Kohler has chosen Ogilvy & Mather to handle the creative duties of its kitchen and bath business. The agency won the account after a multi-agency pitch, which was participated by the top five creative agencies of the country, the agency's press release states. The pitch process began in November, 2012.
Salil Sadanandan, managing director, Kohler Kitchen & Bath India, says, "Ogilvy is the name behind some of the most memorable ad campaigns for brands across diverse categories in the country. We welcome them on board and look forward to working on some great campaigns together."
Prateek Srivastava, group president, O&M, says, "We are delighted to get an opportunity to work with Kohler. It's a sharp and aspirational brand. Besides, it's always a pleasure to work with a company whose business is also about creativity and aesthetics."
It may be noted that Kohler's last television commercial, Demolish, was created by Leo Burnett, where a couple were shown breaking the whole house down except the bathroom as it was fitted with Kohler.
Kohler began its India operations in 2005. It launched its bathroom fitting range including toilets, faucets, bathtubs and showers in 2006. The brand's Indian headquarter is in Gurgaon, Haryana. Kohler was founded in 1873 in Wisconsin, US. It has over 31,000 associates across six continents with operational plants in 49 locations.
