He joined the Mumbai office on January 3 and will report to the national creative directors, Rajiv Rao and Abhijit Avasthi.
Roy Menezes has joined OgilvyOne, Mumbai as senior creative director on January 3. He will partner with Burzin Mehta, senior creative director at the agency, to lead the digital initiatives.
Menezes will report to Rajiv Rao and Abhijit Avasthi, national creative directors at the agency.
Menezes says, "I will bring technology and innovation together into the work and will be pushing the digital campaigns of the agency. Today, digital has become an important part as it helps in engaging with the audience and create brand proposition."
Speaking about his announcement to afaqs!, Kunal Jeswani, chief digital officer, Ogilvy India, says, "He will play an elemental role in the team and with his experience will come up with more cutting edge campaigns."
Menezes has 14 years of experience, of which his nine years have been on the digital platform. He has worked to create engaging campaigns for several top brands such as Audi, Hippo, Idea Cellular and Reliance Mobile. Before his entry into the digital world, Menezes has worked in print and broadcast, too.
He has won several awards such as The Abby's, The Effie's, The Yahoo Big Idea Chair Awards, The Asia Mobile Marketing Awards and The Campaign India Digital Media Awards.
Menezes began working as a creative director in 2003 and has led teams in Powerweave, WebPercept, RMG Connect, Tribal DDB India, Wunderman, Creativeland Asia, Tribal DDB and Commonwealth.
