Cheil Worldwide SW Asia has appointed Saurabh Mathur as senior vice-president, client servicing.
In his new mandate, Mathur will lead Cheil India's client servicing team and work closely with John Koo, president and head of regional HQ, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia.
Mathur's appointment is in sync with Cheil's plan to build a strong integrated local team.
Until recently, he was with Dentsu Communications, where he led the agency's efforts on all key businesses including Aircel's very successful Wifi and 3G campaigns. The fast growing Panasonic business, including the launch of a new sub category of the Cube Split AC and launch of the Ingersoll Rand group in India were also implemented during his tenure.
Confirming his appointment, Mathur says, "Cheil is leading the change with its new model of communication that is holistic in its approach and with a greater degree of integration across disciplines. This represents a great opportunity and I believe it is the right time for me to be at Cheil and drive the change."

During his career spanning 20 years in advertising, Mathur has worked with some of the leading ad agencies in India including Dentsu, JWT, Contract and Grey. Before joining Dentsu Mathur was at Contract, where he launched Del Monte, Bharti group's venture into processed food in India, and also led the communication efforts for Dabur's hair care and glucose businesses, Spice Group's mobile handsets and retail business, and JP Group's cement account and corporate communication. At Grey, Mathur handled the launch campaigns of Suzuki Motorcycles and Ebony Gautier, apart from other businesses such as Wrigleyâ€JoyCo, India Today group, Ranbaxy, Haier, Genpact and Halonix.
During his eight-year stint at JWT, Mathur worked on some iconic brands such as PepsiCo's Kurkure, Nestle's Maggi, Reebok, HT, ITC Hotels, Swatch Group and Hero Honda.
