Bapi Bit has joined Little Lamb Films as director. He was working as a freelance director with various production houses.
Speaking about the appointment, Bauddhayan Mukherji, founder-director, Little Lamb Films, says, "I was looking for a director with similar values and skill set. That's when I met Bapi. I was very impressed with his storytelling skills and that was enough to reiterate the potential he has as a filmmaker. He is indeed a brilliant creative mind and an absolute hands-on filmmaker. If you look at his work, you would be amazed at the maturity and honesty he brings to the table. This gives me an opportunity to partner someone like him. I am super thrilled and really hope this would be a fruitful one."
Bit has been a part of the advertising industry for over 18 years. He started his career at Ogilvy Delhi. In 1995, he moved to Oman to work with Ad Inc. (now DDB Oman) as art director. Subsequently, he moved to Dubai to work with M&C Saatchi. Bit has also worked with the Singapore office of M&C Saatchi. After doing freelance work in ad-film making for over two years, Bit realised the importance of working with a single production house. "You have to be with people who are in the bigger league," he adds.
