Namrata Nandan and Vijay Jacob Parakkal take over the reign of the Mumbai and Bengaluru offices, respectively.
The Mumbai and Bengaluru branches of global advertising agency McCann Erickson have undergone leadership changes, with Namrata Nandan and Vijay Jacob Parakkal taking over charge at the offices, respectively.
Parakkal will be the general manager of the agency's Bengaluru unit.
Incidentally, Nandan headed the McCann Bengaluru office for about three years before shifting to Mumbai due to personal reasons. During her tenure in Bengaluru, she handled brands such as Britannia, ITC and TVS Motors.
Nandan has been with McCann since 2003. Earlier, she was with J Walter Thompson as accounts director and has also worked as group accounts manager at Ogilvy India and Y&R.
Parakkal, who has an experience of 20 years, joined the agency from Grey Sri Lanka, where he was the country head. He was in-charge of South operations at Grey, and was senior vice-president at Bates Bengaluru before that.
Parakkal has handled brands such as Eveready, Bazee.com, ITC, Bharti AXA, Sify, Ashok Leyland and UB Group.
Anil Thomas will remain creative chief for McCann's South operations.
Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and CEO, McCann Erickson, says, "I am genuinely pleased with this development. McCann has always embraced change and has welcomed new blood in the system. At the same time, we take pride in providing exposure and opportunities for growth to our long time colleagues. Vijay and Namrata's new roles bear testimony to this philosophy and practice. I am positive that both our offices will further shine bright."
