Larsen & Toubro Infotech, the global IT services and solutions provider from the stable of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), is currently in the process of meeting creative agencies. A few leading agencies are already in conversation with the brand team.

Highly placed sources close to the development have confirmed the news to afaqs!.

The pitch process that began recently is currently underway in Mumbai. Ad spends for the upcoming communication are said to be "substantial", according to sources. It is also learnt that a rebranding process for the brand may be on the cards in the days ahead.

It may be recalled that recently, Larsen & Toubro Finance (LTF), a subsidiary of L&T in the financial services space, conducted a creative pitch in Mumbai. Several leading ad agencies were evaluated. Ultimately, Ogilvy India bagged the account. Ad spends were pegged at Rs 40 crore, as per market estimates.

Around a month ago, DDB MudraMax was awarded the digital mandate for Larsen & Toubro. The agency handles the entire gamut of digital duties for the brand, including SEM (search engine marketing), SEO (search engine optimisation), web design, online planning, buying and creative.

It may also be recalled that in July, DDB MudraMax was awarded the media planning and buying mandate for the L&T Group after a closely fought multi-agency pitch.

Larsen & Toubro is one of the largest technology, engineering, construction and manufacturing companies in India's private sector.
