Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has appointed TBWA India as its creative agency.
The win is the result of a multi-agency pitch which saw the participation of several leading agencies. While the joint venture was formed four years ago, the company began its hunt for a creative agency a few months back. The pitch was held in Delhi.
Agencies were evaluated on their ability to propose a road map for the brand in terms of communication in India. They were evaluated on their ability to design the complete communication strategy for the commercial vehicles brand.

For the record, Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) is the 50:50 joint venture (JV) between Swedish company Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. The JV was set up in 2008 and in 2010, the company invested Rs 2,880 million in its Pithampur plant for manufacture and assembly of a new medium-duty engine, which the company plans to introduce in Volvo's trucks and buses worldwide over the years. The company currently claims to have about 3,500 employees.
