An alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra and an MBA in Advertising and Communications Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Kumar began his career as senior researcher, qualitative at TNS Mode in 1999. After one year, he moved to Momentum Strategy (Bengaluru) Consultants as senior strategist and continued there for more than five years.
In 2006, Kumar started working as an independent brand, marketing and business strategy consultant with Avalon Consulting (Delhi) and Law & Kenneth (Delhi).
