Ajit Menon, executive director, organisation development, DDB Mudra Group has put in his papers at the agency. Menon, who is currently serving his notice period at DDB Mudra, will join the Dalmia Group as executive director.

Confirming the news to afaqs!, Menon says, "I joined DDB Mudra Group (earlier known as Mudra Communication) with the aim to transform it from an advertising agency to a communications group. It took almost six years to complete my job. At the same time, we have proved to the industry how important the role of human resource is. And, now that my job is done, I was looking at a bigger challenge and so I decided to get into the manufacturing industry."

Menon, who holds a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Calicut, joined E funds as director in 2000. After four years, he shifted to WNS Global Services as senior vice-president. After a year, he joined Nivarna Business Solutions as vice-president and head, global operations. Next, in 2007, he joined DDB Mudra Group as executive vice-president and was later promoted as executive director, organisation development.

For his work in the human resource industry, Menon was recently conferred the Rashtriya Udyog Ratna award by the National Education and Human Resource Organisation and the Pride of HR award by Employer Brand Awards. In 2011, Menon won the 'Exemplary Leader' Award at the Asia Pac Summit of the World HRD Congress.
