Talwalkar will join the agency as executive creative director. He comes to Commonwealth from Contract, Delhi.
Less than a month after appointing Rajesh Mani as executive creative director, Commonwealth has recently taken on board Sachin Talwalkar in the same capacity for the Mumbai hub.
Talwalkar joined BBDO Germany as art director in September, 2000. After two years, he shifted to DDB Germany as senior art director in December, 2002. In Europe, he worked on brands such as VW, MasterFoods, Wrigleys, Pepsi, Allianz Insurance, Gatorade and Henkel.
In March 2005, he moved to Saatchi & Saatchi and relocated to Italy to handle P&G's oral care business for WE/CEEMEA at Milan as regional art director. After three years at Saatchi, in March 2008, he shifted to London to start his own consultancy, Onesingleline.co.uk, which serviced agencies such as Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and DDB to launch global and regional campaigns for British American Tobacco and Fiat.
After one and a half years, he moved to India and joined JWT-Contract Advertising in Delhi as creative director and vice-president. At Contract, he handled clients such as NIIT, SpiceJet, Ten Sports, JK Tyres, Shell Lubricants, Huawei, Whirlpool and Dabur, among others.
