Saket ended his four-year stint with Euro RSCG India early this August.
Sheel Saket, vice-president, Euro RSCG India (Delhi) has moved to the newly launched ITSA Brand Innovations as executive producer. He put in his papers early in August.
At the time of quitting Euro RSCG, Saket told afaqs! that now he wants to do something innovative, something way beyond the scope of a conventional advertising career and ITSA being an innovative agency, he finds it is the right place to be for him.
Saket says, "At ITSA, all the projects are handled with a combined effort of everyone, there is no clear cut definition. My role will be relationship management and organising various things required for any project."
On the appointment Emmanuel Upputuru, Founder, ITSA says, "I had worked with Sheel before. He belongs to a rare species. To begin with, he is not your regular account managment guy. He actually is more creative than many people in the so-called creative departments in the agencies. And what I absolutely love about him is, ask him if something is possible, he will tell you ten different ways it can be done. ITSA's core team is now complete - with human strategy, innovative ideas, award winning craft and implementation skills in this team."
"As we begin to do our projects and sign on clients, Sheel's resourcefulness and ability to deliver solutions is going to be an indispensable, must-have asset for us. We believe Sheel will add great value to relationships and help us collaborate to execute and deliver our brand innovations and campaigns," says Anirban Mozumdar, chief strategy officer, ITSA.
Saket, who has almost 16 years of experience, is an MBA in Marketing from Amity Business School. He was with Denver-based telecom company Executive TeleCard for around a year and a half before starting his agency career with McCann Erickson Delhi as account manager in 1998.
At McCann Erickson, he handled the General Motors business. After spending four years at McCann, he moved to JWT as account director. In 2005, he joined Ogilvy India as client services director, where he got the opportunity to work on brands such as LG, Maruti, Dabur, Nestle, Schnieder, Oswal and WWF.
After spending three years at Ogilvy, Saket moved to Euro RSCG, where he spent the past four years. At Euro, he managed several key accounts including Voltas, Volvo, Makemytrip.com, NewsX, Future Brands, Max New York Life, Quest Diagnostic, Government of Gabon and Cyberwalk, among others.
For the records, ITSA is a one month old company formed by Emmanuel Upputuru, erstwhile national creative director, Publicis; Anirban Mozumdar, ex-national planning director, Publicis; and Daniel Upputuru, who once headed TAG McCann Delhi, along with Concept's Vivek Suchanti. The agency is launched in collaboration with Concept Communications, wherein Concept gives ITSA the benefit of an established eco system including advertising, PR, digital and sports marketing capabilities.
