The Advertising Club Bombay has announced that the 12th Emvie Awards ceremony will be held on September 3 in Mumbai.
The Emvies recognise outstanding media initiatives developed over the past year. The evaluation process involves two rounds. The first round of judging will take place on August 7-9, while Round II will take place during August 23-25. The second round will be based on the case study presentations at Welingkar Institute and will be judged by heavyweights from the marketing fraternity.
New award categories such as Media Client of the Year, Best Ongoing Media Campaign and Young Emvie are being introduced in Emvies 2012, while the Digital Innovation section will have two new sub-categories, Display and Video. The presenting sponsor is Times Television Network.
Last year, in Emvies 2011, the Best Media Innovation category received 41 awards across TV, Radio, Print and Digital, among others. However, the Best Media Strategy category bagged 16 awards, while the Best Media Research and Best Integrated Campaign categories got six awards each. There was one Grand Emvie, three TAM and RAM awards, and four people's choice awards. People's choice awards were based on the case study presentations.
