The agency won the creative duties following a multi-agency pitch. It will manage the upcoming Dream Yuga bike, all other bikes launched under the Dream series, and the CB Shine range of two-wheelers.
Dentsu Marcom has won the creative duties for Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India's CB Shine range of bikes, and the yet-to-be-launched Dream Yuga. With this win, the agency will manage all the bikes launched under the brand 'Dream', which the company will launch for the first time in India. The agency won the business following a multi-agency pitch, which involved other agencies such as Grey.
While the size of the business could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, it is said to be substantially high.
Industry sources have confirmed the development to afaqs!, on condition of anonymity.
Last year, following a multi-agency pitch for brands CBR and Dio, Honda Motorcycle handed over the duties for Dio to Grey, and retained Dentsu Marcom for CBR.
For the records, Japan-based Honda mainly operates in India through three business divisions - Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (two-wheelers division), Honda Siel Cars India (manufacture of four-wheelers) and Honda Siel Power Products (manufacture of the entire range of power products).
