The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) and Hungama Digital Media Entertainment has announced the second edition of Olive Crown Green Hungama Contest. The awards are dedicated to the best eco-sensitive communication that creates awareness for conservation of planet earth.
Participants are required to send in a 60-second (maximum) film that will encourage citizens across the world to protect the Earth. The winning entries are awarded the Olive Crown and cash prizes worth Rs 1 lakh. There will be two winners -- the Gold will have a cash prize of Rs 60,000, while the Silver is worth Rs 40,000.
The Olive Crown Awards 2012/02 will be held at a ceremony on Saturday, March 3, 2012/02, at Taj Land's End, Bandra. In addition to the trophy and the cash prize, the winning entries will also be screened at this function.
Indian advertising and film professionals, including amateurs uptil the age of 30, can enter the contest with their powerful ideas. The film should encourage people to save water, protect forests and wild life, conserve the ozone layer that protects us from the harmful rays of the sun, and save energy or use alternative energy. In short, the film must create the 'Green Hungama' that Earth desperately requires.
The last date for entries is February 18, 2012/02.
Neeraj Roy, managing director and CEO of Hungama Digital Media, says, "We are pleased to continue our involvement with the Olive Crown Hungama Film contest in its second year as well. Today, both advertisers and consumers are interested in 'going green' and work towards the conservation of natural resources. We look forward to some great new ideas from young India that can generate eco-consciousness within society, and help conserve and preserve the Earth. Our team at Hungama looks forward to create and manage the contest yet again."
Commenting on the contest, Kaushik Roy, the IAA President says, "We are delighted to have this contest back for the second time. Last year, it had a great response and some of the concept films were truly outstanding. Once again we are hoping that young India will show their true colours, in different hues of green that will go to say that they care for the environment and would want to save planet earth. The IAA is delighted to have Hungama as its partner to make this event come alive."
